Happy Shoes and Sundaes are a flat all cotton shoe with flexible recycled rubber soles. They have no hard structured toe or heel caps. They are hand made with breathable cotton fabrics and will loosen to envelope around the shape of your foot. Just how a pair of espadrilles and a soft leather ballet slipper would fit.
Happy Shoes collection Happy Shoes have been around for decades only this time Kung Fu Mary have upgraded them into a better shoe. We use higher grade cotton fabrics. Removed the plastic sole and replaced that with a recycled rubber sole and removed the old fiddly buckle and replaced that with a new press stud buckle. We did keep the original shape that we all loved and wore back in the 80s!
Sundae collection Sundaes are a different design to the Happy Shoes. They are a standard fit and slightly more narrow and secure fitting then the Happy Shoes. They have thicker cotton fabrics, a lightly padded inner lining and a flat foot bed. They have a 1.5cm elevated sole with a .5cm heel rise. They are light on the feet and designed to wear for longer periods at a time, of course depending on each individuals foot health. Plus they are little bit more fancy!
If you do need to wear inserts we recommend going up a size in both styles to allow for the extra rise inserts do give.
HAPPY SHOE SIZING
Please order your usual shoe size. If you are a standard size 9US the size 40 is what you would need. Because they are cotton and have no hard structured toe or heel caps they do loosen to form the shape of your feet.
I wear a size standard fit 9US and the 40 fit perfectly. I have tried the size 41 but they are definitely to loose on my feet.
If you are between sizes - eg. 9.5 - we recommend sizing DOWN to nearest full size. This is based on customer feedback. For example, if you wear a size 9.5 We recommend the size 40. If you believe you need a wider fit such as a E/EE fitting width, we do recommend going up a size.

SUNDAES SIZING
Sundaes are a DIFFERENT fit and style to our Happy Shoes. THESE ARE SLIGHTLY MORE NARROW. If you feel you need width in your shoes, we do recommend going up a size for a little more wriggle room. The cotton fabric of these shoes will loosen within the first wear.
I wear a size 9US and my foot is 10cm at the widest part. I wear a size 41 in Sundaes and they fit perfectly.
These shoes are not designed for a wide D/E fitting foot.
