If like me and you grew up in the 80s then you may just remember the Chinese cotton Kung Fu shoes. Here in Australia we use to be call them Happy Shoes. Every year my mum and dad would take my brother and I to China town to meander around the market stalls. This is where my mum would buy my Happy Shoes.
As I got older and had daughters of my own I found that these shoes had became hard to find. This is why I decided to source a original manufacture and start the journey with Kung Fu Mary as I knew I could not be the only one who loved these sweet shoes.
Happy Shoes are not made in large factories. They are handmade by the elderly craftsman in the villages who are able to earn a income whilst caring for their grand children when the parents work in the cities.
These amazing craftsman who put these sweet shoes together are becoming less as the younger generations now have better career choices and studies to choose from. This also means they cannot be mass produced and we can only manage a certain number of sizes and colours at a time.
We are absolutely thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to produce a now better quality and more durable pair of Happy Shoes while the craft lasts. Kung Fu Mary Happy Shoes will quickly become your new favourite go-to shoes!

I am SO EXCITED to find these again! I wore these everyday throughout the 80’s and couldn’t believe it when we moved away from the city and I could no longer get them. We used to get ours from Clark Rubber of all places! Have just purchased more. My feet are so HAPPY! Thank you
Just wondering if these shoes have a wide base as have chubby feet. Always have issues with enclosed top of shoes however these look to have a lower start of the toe covering so may work. Could you let me know if they run narrow or wide on the base? Many thanks
